Treadmill Display Not Working – Power and Signal Problems
If your treadmill display is not working, it could be a power supply or signal issue. Our guide helps you troubleshoot a blank or dead console.
Is the Rest of the Treadmill Working?
First, determine if the problem is only the display. Does the belt move or incline work blindly? This helps isolate the issue to the console versus the entire machine.
Check Power to the Console
Many consoles receive low-voltage DC power from the main motor control board. A failure here can lead to a dead console even if the rest of the machine seems to have power.
The Console Data Cable
The communication cable between the lower board and the console can become loose or damaged, resulting in a blank screen or a display that freezes. We explain how to check this connection.
Internal Console Fuse
Some consoles have their own internal fuse. If this blows, the display will be dead. This requires opening the console to check.
