Exercise Bike Display Not Working – Power and Signal Problems
If your exercise bike's display is blank or not showing speed, it could be a power, sensor, or wiring issue. Troubleshoot a dead console with our guide.
Problem 1: The Console is Completely Dead
First, check the power source (batteries or AC adapter). If power is good, the issue could be a loose internal wire or a failed console board.
Problem 2: Console is On, but Shows No Speed/RPM
This is a classic speed sensor problem. The console isn't receiving a signal from the flywheel to tell it you're pedaling.
Locating and Fixing the Speed Sensor

Checking the Sensor Wiring
The thin wire from the sensor to the console can get pinched or disconnected. Inspecting this wire is a key troubleshooting step.
