Exercise Bike Not Turning On – Causes and How to Fix It
If your exercise bike is not turning on, it could be the power adapter, batteries, or console. Our guide helps you diagnose and fix a dead stationary or spin bike.
Check the Power Source: Adapter vs. Batteries
Determine if your bike uses an AC power adapter or is battery-powered. For AC adapters, check the outlet and the cable for damage. For batteries, replace them with a fresh set.
Inspecting the Power Adapter and Connection
Ensure the AC adapter has the correct voltage and amperage for your model. Check that the plug is securely inserted into the bike, as this connection can become loose.
Troubleshooting Loose Internal Wiring
Vibration can loosen the wire connecting the power jack or battery compartment to the console. A visual inspection may be required.
Diagnosing a Failed Console
If power is reaching the console but it remains blank, the console's internal circuit board has likely failed and may need replacement.
