First-Time Treadmill Testing – Electrical and Mechanical Checks
Just assembled your treadmill? Follow our essential checklist for first-time electrical and mechanical testing to ensure it's safe and ready for use.
Pre-Power-On Mechanical Checks
Before plugging it in, check that the belt moves freely by hand and that all bolts and screws are tight.
Initial Power-On and Console Test
Plugging in the machine, inserting the safety key, and testing that the console lights up and all buttons are responsive.
Testing the Belt and Motor at Low Speed
Starting the treadmill at the lowest speed with no one on it. Watch for smooth belt movement and listen for any unusual noises.
Testing the Incline Function
Running the incline all the way up and all the way down to ensure it moves smoothly through its full range of motion.
Final Safety Check: The Safety Key
While the belt is moving at a low speed, pull the safety key to confirm that the treadmill stops immediately.
